t is with gratitude to Hashem that I humbly accept the position of President of this wonderful congregation.
I say humbly because it is indeed a great merit and blessing to serve the House of Gd, despite any challenges and difficulties.
I therefore look to Hashem for His guidance and blessings of wisdom, to be inspired to do the right thing at all times; and I look to you for your support in time, effort, funds and a positive attitude of brotherhood, respect and responsibility to each other and especially to the synagogue, it’s growth and well-being.
I accept with responsibility the honoured title of President but, in fact, we all really don’t need any titles or positions to serve Hashem, His Holy House and His people.
For we have already been given a title and position on Mount Sinai to be a Kingdom of Priests and a Holy nation.
A Kingdom of Priests give us all the position and responsibility to serve to further the cause of Hashem and serve each other for the benefit of our community.
I am inspired by Shaulmeir Ezekiel, the Executives of the Board and Board Members for the example and dedication they have shown to the Synagogue and thank them for everything they have done for us.
I will look to them for guidance through their experience. I welcome my Executive and Board and pray that our efforts will be blessed with stability and success.
